Careers in surveying and land agency are exciting, challenging and creative. They suit those who enjoy talking and listening to other people, understanding their problems and coming up with solutions that fit their needs and budget. If you'd love to work both independently and with a team, and would enjoy a busy and varied role where you're sometimes outdoors as often as in the office, we have a course for you.

Many teach in industry, including RICS professional short courses. They also work closely with the university's experts in agriculture, business and countryside management.

Surveyors and land/estate agents are, essentially, negotiators so we'll help you to develop this essential skill, as well as project management, communications, and understanding the issues affecting potential clients. You will learn about valuation, land and property law, auctioneering, construction and surveying, property marketing, renewable energy, compulsory purchase and utilities.
